Austin, TX
Austin, the once and future capital of the once and future Republic of Texas, is a progressive island floating in a sea of southern conservatism. Consistently ranked as one of the best places to live, it was my hometown for an all-too-short while between the college and adult years of my life.
Although my time as an Austinite was short, I forged many strong memories about the area’s people, cuisine, environment, and vibe. I spent alot of time exploring the city when I was there, soaking in its history, hills, and huevos rancheros. Thankfully, people are doing their best to keep things wierd long after I left the building.
North of town is Round Rock, where my sister Micha lived, and her family kept me floating in many ways that can never be repaid.
