My mother Mikie is an amazing, stubborn, faithful friend. I owe everything to her, from my literal existence to the morals and wisdom that allow me to persist without bringing harm to those around me.One thing I admire about mother is that she lives life her way. My whole life, she’s been surrounded by friends, and together they would stay up late, drinking, smoking, and laughing the night away. Things have been hard on her lately, with various surgeries and health problems. But her smile and warmth shine through such adversity. She’s proud of many things, including her sons — and being younger than my father.
