About Spamboy
My name is Matthew, although the only people who call me that are my wife and one of my friends. Otherwise, they insist on calling me Matt.
Some people call me Spamboy. Or Spam. Or Nino de Spam. Even Defender of Potted Meat. There are good reasons for all of those noms de plume, but at the end of the day I can sleep well, satisfied that I have a better nickname than most of the population.
This website started in December of 2001, during the time I was working in the mountains of Brazil. Before I acquired this domain name in a shady, late-night transaction, it was formerly used to redirect people to OlderLadies.com. Great pictures, by the way — although if I wasn’t supposed to see your grandmother on all fours, my bad. To this day, I still continue to get vast quantities of dirty spam and search requests for graphic content. Hopefully the content I put online is more tame than octogenarian porn, but only slightly so.
This site was inspired by my friends past and current who encouraged me to tell stories. This is not a blog full of what I ate today (bowl of cereal, cup of coffee, some yogurt with granola), or what music I am currently listening to (Spoon). Instead, I hope to share some more significant thoughts as I retread memories past.
If you’re wonder where to begin, try starting off with a simple story. After that, grab a blanket and a cup of tea, then curl up in front of your computer to read my online book. Either way, check back often — if the rest of my years are half as interesting as life up to this point, I should have more than plenty to write about.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find my email address on this website, although you can reach me here.
